Conventional HUDs are bulky and expensive devices taking up more than 4 liters of valuable dashboard space. REBKIN developed a groundbreaking optical system for windshield-type HUDs that drastically shrinks the installation volume while reducing overall cost. The system can be used with existing picture generation units (PGU).

Demo

The video below illustrates the benefits of the optical system on a car with a regular windshield. Direct reflection of a LED display is on the right, collimated reflection is on the left. The ghost image is eliminated and the virtual image appears 4m outside of the windshield.
